A river needs good flow, without a good amount of circulation and surface movement the river will become stagnant and eventually it will become a swamp. Pools are just like rivers if there's no good flow and circulation it will soon become green. Depending on the size of the pool it can get away with one or two returns. However we recommend having two or more returns working at all times. Installing returns on a pool should be left for those who are experience on the field and have done this countless of times.
